Department Vision:
"To be a globally distinguished center in the field of Maritime Engineering Management, contributing to the development and provision of innovative and sustainable solutions to the challenges of the engineering and maritime sector."

Department Mission:
The department seeks to prepare specialized competencies and skills capable of creativity and innovation in all various fields of engineering management by following a creative approach in education. This approach relies on training the student to adopt scientific thinking methods and logical analysis, and to acquire self-learning skills to assist them in using engineering management tools.

Department Objectives:

1. Qualifying students to obtain a Higher Diploma degree in Maritime Engineering Management.

2. Playing an effective role in conducting advanced research in the management of various engineering projects. The department also aims to bring about fundamental changes in engineering management methods and comprehensive development of research methods, in cooperation with various industrial and service institutions, by organizing seminars and training programs.

3. Qualifying graduate engineers to assume leadership positions in all engineering departments.

4. Exchanging expertise and information with relevant entities inside and outside the State of Libya.

5. Meeting the state's need for more specialized disciplines.

6. Instilling engineering values and ethics through an integrated educational climate combined with engineering education and culture programs.

Capabilities of Maritime Engineering Management Graduates and Their Field of Work:
Graduates of the Maritime Engineering Management Department can apply the knowledge and skills acquired during their studies in all work environments that require complex decision-making processes and analytical skills.

Graduates of the Maritime Engineering Management program are prepared to work in many fields, such as:

1. Higher Education and Scientific Research

2. Working as a teaching assistant in technical institutes and colleges to qualify them to become faculty members.

3. Oil companies and engineering companies (such as the Development and Administrative Reform Authority, Engineering Project Management, Coastal and Port Engineering, and the Oil and Gas Industry).

4. Working in the industry sector (Logistics Services and Supply Chain Management, Quality Management and Control, Industrial Safety, and other tasks such as design, innovation, and supervision within the factory).

5. Marine Facility Planning, Industrial Automation, Production Planning and Control.

6. Also, manufacturing industries and service industries (such as airports, airlines, logistics service companies, seaports, hospitals, and others).
