Department Establishment Date:

The department was established concurrently with the founding of the institute. It began accepting male and female students in 1998, operating on a semester system with two semesters per academic year. Students are registered with a unique enrollment number.

Mission:

To graduate highly competent technicians in the field of seaport management and operation technology, qualified to contribute to the process of construction and technological development.

Objectives:

• Preparing qualified graduates according to the needs of the labor market.

• Adopting the principle of quality in enhancing students' basic knowledge in management fields.

• Introducing students to the administrative standards and decisions by which public and private institutions operate.

• Developing students' skills and providing them with capabilities that enable them to work in all institutions operating within the national economy.

• Enhancing students' practical experience through participation in a training program during the final semester of study.

• Developing students' research capabilities in the scientific field for broad utilization.

Future Vision for the Department:

That the department's academic programs achieve such importance as to make them pioneers among other scientific departments, and for the department to become one of the most important departments relied upon by the institute in meeting the needs for administrative consultations.
